Carine Bueno (she/her)
Carine is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Canadian Certified Counselor with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. With training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), she is equipped to help clients process traumatic experiences and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
Her approach to therapy is grounded in authenticity. She believes in being genuine and present with her clients, creating a space where they feel truly seen and heard, and inspiring clients to embrace their own authenticity as part of their healing process. Her therapeutic approach incorporates various modalities, including EMDR, Humanistic & Existential Modalities, Collaborative Problem Solving, Solution-Focused Therapy, Attachment-Based Approaches, Person-Centered Therapy, and Strength-Based Therapy.
Carine believes that each person's journey is unique and deserves individualized care. She is dedicated to walking alongside her clients as they navigate their paths toward healing, self-discovery, and fulfillment. She brings a unique multicultural perspective to her practice. Born and raised in South America and having lived in Hawaii before moving to Canada, she is fluent in both English and Portuguese, allowing her to connect with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
On a personal note, Carine cherishes spending quality time with her toddler and husband, finding that motherhood has become her most treasured role. She also enjoys learning about new cultures and worldviews. She carries with her a love for the ocean and brings that sense of calm and perspective into her therapeutic practice.
