Cait Forget (she/her)


Cait Forget (she/her) is a Registered Practical Nurse and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Ontario with over 11 years of experience in mental health services and four years in healthcare. She is passionate about working with clients collaboratively to help them manage stress, improve relationships, and navigate emotional challenges.

Cait has worked in various settings, including telehealth, community health, and private practice. She integrates cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), emotional-focused therapy (EFT), and psychodynamic framework - tailoring her approach to meet each client’s unique and current needs. In her couples therapy work, she integrates sex therapy interventions, has completed Level 1 and 2 training in the Gottman Method, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. Cait is committed to creating a compassionate, safe, and authentic space for her clients to heal.

In her therapeutic work, she has witnessed the profound impact of therapy in facilitating personal transformation through the processing of unresolved pain and the shifting of old patterns. She firmly believes that honesty, trust, and humour are integral to the therapeutic relationship and endeavors to infuse every session with a sense of openness and care.

Outside of her professional life, Cait is a strong advocate for personal and professional growth. She enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active, and nurturing her interest in farming and regenerative agriculture. Her values are deeply rooted in the connection between nature, sustainability, and well-being, which she cherishes in her quality time with family and loved ones.
