Amy Antony (she/her), M.C., M.Ed.

Director of Client  Care

Amy Antony (she/her) is a Registered Provisional Psychologist in the Province of Alberta. She has worked in multiple environments for over 12 years with individuals of all ages. Amy deeply enjoys working with clients in a collaborative manner to help them heal and feel hopeful.

She has worked in rural and urban mental health, indigenous communities, private practice and within the school system.

Amy believes in using compassion, authenticity, emotional safety, and humour (she’ll try and save her dad jokes only for those who request them lol). She uses a client-centered approach to meet her clients where they are at, while demonstrating dignity and promoting genuine care. She believes that dealing with unresolved pain, distress, or trauma is only accomplished in a place of safety. In her work, she has seen that changing old patterns and healing resurfacing wounds can have a profound impact on our life.

Amy has completed training in Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy while using an eclectic approach as each client is unique and deserves to be heard and respected in what matches their requests, needs and current place of readiness.

In her off time, Amy enjoys hanging out with her husband and stepkids, playing crib with her Gido (Grandpa in Ukrainian), working out, backcountry hiking, and recently adding to her record collection. Amy also has a wide array of passions she is interested in which include making homemade perogies, seeing her close friends, as well as contributing to philanthropic endeavours. She has a huge love for Law and Order: SVU and a very popular and cheesy reality show that she has a hard time admitting to watching (okay, okay.. it's The Bachelor). Amy has always been an advocate for people with adversity and feels it is a privilege that her clients allow her to walk with them in their journey.
